Keats uses the phrase “the poetry of earth” to convey the idea that nature itself is a form of poetry. When Keats says that “the poetry of earth is never dead,” he is expressing the timeless and enduring nature of nature’s beauty and inspiration. He suggests that the Earth’s poetry, its innate ability to captivate and enchant, is always present and accessible to those who take the time to observe and appreciate it. Even in the quietest moments or the darkest times, the beauty of nature persists, offering solace, inspiration, and a sense of connection to something greater than oneself.
The sounds or music of different creatures and elements continue as long as they exist. When birds become tired Grasshoppers start from hedges to hedges. Again in dark winter nights cricket starts its music. So, the natural music of the earth never ceases to play through the cycles of seasons. It is everlasting.
